hi everyone
i have a bear glass older recurve, was my womans grandfathers, he passed away, he use to use it for hunting. my question is its a 36lb drawweight bow, is it good enough for deer at 20 yards or less? i can hold it back for quite a while.am not sure on its power.

Weight requirement is 35# for big game. However...that weight is measured at a 28" draw. If you draw less than 28"s
you will be pulling less than 35#.

A 35# bow will do the job. A very old bow won't have great cast and probably be a bit on the marginal end. However, it is a great weight for small game hunting and all day target shooting.

it will work on deer with no problem,pick your spot,keep shots at 20 yards or less and keep your broadheads nice and sharp.
