Thought I would throw this out for some pointers. I am looking to get a short barrel for either a pump that I have or a semi. The primary use would be home defense. I am looking at the pros and cons for each. Feel free to post your opinions/experience. THANKS

It's also a great way to give your position away.
So you are just gonna waylay somebody that's in your house?
what if it was someone who was in an accident, was out of it and needed help and you just happen to have left your front door unlocked? Good way to be BFF's with Bubba is more like it. "I am armed". Get out or I will defend myself". Maybe try that insted of "Boom goes the dynamite"???

Please show me where I said I would "waylay" the intruder?
Maybe you should read more closely.

And by the way, I never leave my door unlocked.

Keep on racking,

If ya got a pump your good to go. I keep some #4 buckshot handy. In a 3" mag thats 41 .24 cal pellets per shell. I also realize that if it came down to it this is meant to kill. I can't imagine someone living thru a blast of this from the knees up.
