Yes. I started this year. It's a good idea to give you an idea if they're using the area. I don't know where you are in Pa, but just watch wintering patterns versus spring. What may be there one month could be gone the next.

I do a ton of scouting with trail cameras. Gives me an idea when birds might be in a certain area. Hard to beat waking up and going to listen and see exactly where they are roosted but every bit of info helps

No I just go out opening day and listen, move in and call. I can be off by 300= 400 yds. when they gobble on the roost and still have time to set up near by or to beat them to a known strutting spot.

Set out a Cam a few years back with a corn dispenser. I got the turkey pictures fine along with 1,100 more raccoon pictures.....

Back when there were alot of turkeys I had the trail camera out a couple days before the season start.
Many turkey hunters use trail cameras.
