I remember the day when you had to travel to the north central mountains or the Raystown area to even hear many gobblers!!! Today you can hunt them almost in the middle of every city in the state. The last time I hunted them up north was near cross forks, we always had a lot of luck and great times up north, drinking beers from those canning jars at Footes Inn, great days...I remember scratching my head on that last hunt, the third week of May and snow flakes were falling from the sky..amazing days spent there.
Harvested a 19# gobbler the FIRST Spring season. Stayed at DEERLICK CAMPGROND. Hunted and fished in Potter for few years scored some missed some always had a great time thinking of giving it a try this spring any reccomendaions on accomadations.
