No, not the rock star........the first baseman. It's a three year deal worth 60 million with a fourth year option at 17.5 million. He was formerly with the Indians and before that, the Dodgers. He is 31 years old.


Santana, a Gold Glove finalist as first base last season, hit .259 (148-for-571) with 23 homers and 79 RBI. He leaves the Indians as their career leader in homers and RBI for a switch hitter.

Bummer. Carlos Santana the musician would at least put on a good sounding show for the fans during an otherwise smelly game. ;)

I too was excited that the phils signed an excellent club house musician
then I found out it was a player and was most disappointed
