Pennypack Creek, Philadelphia, PA

There was a story on Philly.com about a 68 year old man whose dog went into the rain swollen Pennypack Creek. The man went in to try to rescue the dog and drowned. They found the dog waiting at his masters car. Sad situation.

That is a big creek and with all the blacktop in Philadelphia with noplace for the rain to go it doesnt take long for that creek to roll. By the way thats the same area they spotted a black bear 2 weeks ago

I thought the bear was seen near the Valley Green Inn. That would be Wissahickon Creek. Unless there was another sighting at Pennypack.

That would be dangerous on any rain-swollen river/stream...
