I know that. I asked you. It's just rather odd that when people share the same opinion that one quotes and remarks to the other so much as though they don't agree...probably just another assumption on my part...
Sorry you assume so much. I agree with you on the Saturday opener. Other than that I guess you assume way more in an internet writing.

This has been lots of fun today. I have to go to practice now but I'll just tap out with the assumption that at times the answers not given are the most telling.

Glad you have the woods to yourself. Makes for great hunting right?
That depends. The big woods can be challenging. I do prefer to have a few folks out and about as they might push something to me or i push something to them. I will sit the first 2 hours or so then still hunt the rest of the day and then sit the last hour. Part of me does like still hunting without interrupting someone's hunt then again maybe i would push something out to them. This year only my vehicle and 1 other vehicle which had 2 older gentlemen. They were only going to hunt 100 yard or so from their vehicle while i was going about 1.5 miles in. Told them if they shot anything to grab my deer cart out of the bed of my truck or wait for me as i would come down if i hear them shoot. They were hunting a really steep hollow. I helped the same 2 guys a few years ago drag out a nice 10 point out of there. That is actually more rewarding to me helping those older guys get that deer out. Lots of sign and saw a few spikes the first 2 days. Only mine and their vehicle was in that parking lot the first 2 days on 15000 acres of public State forest land. The 3rd day i went to a different spot and only my vehicle in that spot and took a doe. This has been going on for a couple years even before the opener change. Just seems less people now with the Saturday opener. Just my observation in my part of Potter.

That's awful nice of you to help those guys. That's probably the thing I miss the most about years ago when I first started. Everyone you met in the woods spoke and wished you well. Even had strangers trying to help each other out. Not the me, me ,me competitive stuff now.

The last time my younger brother came up to camp for rifle, about 10 years ago, he had a spike all morning that wouldnt leave. As he was leaving the woods he ran into a father and his 12 year old son. My brother asked the youngster if he wanted to shoot a buck and to follow him. Sure enough that spike was still in the area and the kid shot it. My brother then drug it out for them. Days like that is whats its all about.
