Just read some democrat from Alleghany county introduced an "assault weapons ban" two days ago. I can't figure out how to post a link with this stupid kindle, just google "pa assault weapons ban". Start contacting you local reps folks.

Too bad for that socialist that introduced it, but Harrisburg is GOP controlled...so he's just satisfying his base for next election. There's a lot of panic, but they can put it in their pipe and smoke it.

I couldn't agree more, but we have to make sure they know what we the people think.

A bill. Actually that rep was not alone. The opposition has been busy introducing all sorts of niffty leftist gun bills to restrict our rights.

I have a post in this forum from the other day with the bills and links to the text. none of the bills are overly long to read and worth doing so.

Read them, understand them and then oppose the bills and be able to talk about why.

Until any bill pro or con gets traction and gets a committee hearing and passage, it is pretty much meaningless. BUT - all should take the time to call or visit the local office or the Harrisburg office and making your points. Last resort is to email your reps and others in opposition.

All, this is why elections matter. The person you vote for can be a D or a R - what they stands for on a daily basis is the important thing. In November most were confident the Dem;s wouldn't have the gall to try this - then Newtown happened and they had their hook.

Be glad that the R's still hold both state chambers - at least on this issue.

Most are racing to be the guy that does it. It gets their name out there. But they know it hasn't got a chance.
