Ordered some seedlings from the PA Site, ninebark, elderberry, button bush. Was very disappointed with the quality of the seedlings, ninebark were decent size appeared to have had issues with the heat in shipping. The Elderberry and button bush were tiny seedlings, that i don't think would survive if planted out doors, will need to pot them.
Trees from MDC were excellent quality, our game tree farms could take some lessons from them.

It's more likely that the PGC would close down the nursery then remodel their operations to ship older seedlings. I'm sure the nursery is a lot of money, labor, and bother for little thanks as it is.

The MDC charges more for a larger plant and I have to dig a hole to plant. PGC charges less for a smaller plant that I can put in with a dibble bar. If properly protected, both can do ok.

The PGC does state what size the seedlings will be (4-6" for buttonbush, 4"-10" for elderberry) so it is clear what you are getting from them.
