yeah I will pass..bad hunting show...sooting tame elk in pa and the guys of leatherwoods on their privte proerty that isnt real hunting like every other show
Lol, that's about the funniest thing I've read on here in a while. Sounds like someone is a little jealous. Those two shows mentioned above are probably more real than any other show you could watch. But hey, just keep on thinking those elk are tame, and that private property is the key to being be to kill deer, and hunt for real. That just shows us all how little you really know!

I know plenty thanks. When you can pretty much walk up to a elk in pa..yeah tame. And if you think managed private land isn't better hunting then public land...well I dont know how to help you. All these huting shows are bull. I do just fine every yr buddy. Have some 6 P&Y'S and a Booner on the wall all with the bow..not x box..here in PA ..so jealously has nothing to do with it

sticker your enititled to your opinion just like everyone else is and congratulations on your successful archery carrer but unless you killed each of your 7 wall mounts on public land you have bit your nose to spite your face.

this episode is aimed exactly at people w/your point of view and attitude about "tame" pa elk. if nothing else I encourage you to check it out and then bash away only after you've seen it. its hard for some people to imagine elk outside of the bennezette area but there are many out there that will give even the most seasoned hunter/woodsman a run for their money

Exactly. I can't get over how many people take a trip to benezette, see the elk in town, and then think every elk in PA is like that. Then they come on here and start spouting off about all the tame elk, blah blah blah. They haven't a clue. What does bow hunting deer have to do with hunting elk. Oh yeah, nothing.

I did min scouting. I have been hunting the same small piece of PRIVATE PROPERTY for 20 + yrs now. Have stands set up for every wind direction. Got a 20 inch wide 10 pt the first week of archery hunting a thick funnel with a small creek. Was the first really warm day and I figured the deer would hit the water source before heading the the crops. Worked out perfect for me this yr. Had private property, low impact scouting, crops, water and played the wind.

OK fellows, maybe I jumped to conculsions about this. I will watch it and see. I guess I am just sick of the same old tv shows with guys hunting on private managed land or canned hunts and act like it is a big deal.
as far as my older quotes??? yeah..I hunt a very small piece of private property...24 acres. That is the reason I do min scouting there. Dont want to blow the deer out of the area before the season..not a big tract of land.

I also hunt public land or I did in the past. This was the first yr in my whole hunting career that I didnt hunt public land and I hunted with my bow all yr. 3 of my mounts came from public land and the rest from private. The only reason I even brought that up was because Borden811 assumed I was jealous about something..not at all.

I live about 25 minutes from Bennezette. The elk on winslow hill are basically tame to the point that I wouldn't condsider hunting there. That isn't the case everywhere however. The elk range is pretty big and the elk outside of the viewing areas and away from the concentrations of camps that feed them are wild animals in every sense of the word.My two kids and I took our horse outside of Bennezette for a camping trip this past Sept.We saw a lot of elk sign but not a lot of elk. When we did come up on them, they were gone right now.Considering the high success rate, killing an elk in Pa isn't some sort of monumental achievment short of a religeous experience but it's not like shooting fish in a barrel either.

Sticker, you brought it up before I even made a comment.

"sooting tame elk in pa and the guys of leatherwoods on their privte proerty that isnt real hunting"

Lets not back pedal now, since we all know hunting on private property isn't real hunting. But yet three of your trophys came from private ground. Pot, meet Mr. Kettle...

dude..all I was saying it is easier to film hunts when you have property with game on it. Just because I don't film my hunts and pretend to be the worlds best hunter doesnt mean I don't know private property is way better the public land...all I was saying is I am sick of the same old crap on hunting shows.
