You'll have to ask Ron if he was off when that occurred.

Jan 5,1904 was a Tuesday. One room schoolhouse needed a few extra shovels of coal in the potbelly stove. Instead of a trip to the outhouse teacher let the girls use a bucket in the closet but the fellas had to make the trip out.

Looks like Wald went to school that day. A little cold weather couldn't stop him. He even remembered it was a Tuesday.

Hey Wald, what was Miss Crabapple wearing that day?

It was Miss Fenstermeister, If I recall it was button up shoes, several long wool skirts and French blouse with poofy sleeves and ruffled hi neck. Several sweaters and long overcoat. The room temps got up to about 30 degrees by lunchtime. The 8 miles uphill in the snow to school was bad and the 11 mile walk home uphill in the snow was worse.

That's funny but with the French blouse and poofy sleeves comment I gotta ask that you turn in your man card.
