I'm just glad to see it going to a US citizen. Anymore you can be in the country illegally and the gov't will fill your account with money and other entitlements....:vomit:
338 I really didn’t want to go way off tangent, but I worked in union construction for 30 years. Now I have the $ from a pension, a 1000 a month till I hit SS, and a 401 K. Enjoy you deserve it!!
Thanks bro. I cant get SS as I didnt pay into it. My pension is good and keeps me solvent. If i went back and got my quarters I could get SS just didnt want to work after work. My stepfather was union construction and did good on that. Thank god for you construction guys keeping the country going.

When SS is stolen to fund the national debt, then everyone will be shooting whatever they want. Heck in 11 years the amounts are probably already going to be cut to 77%. Real problems that politicians have not figured how to solve but they are more worried about what day of the week deer season should start.

The "ss will be insolvent in ____ years" is simply a scare tactic. They'll just keep printing money, raising the debt ceiling, and increasing the nat'l debt. Using ss as a pawn is how they scare people into accepting it.

They just need to look at france to see what happens when you screw with peoples retirement, it would be way worse here.

PGC article from '09. Less licenses sold, less hunters and it's not stopping, in fact, it's still in decline. The way I figure it, dropping the AR for seniors will have the same affect as p-ing in the ocean and thinking it'll make a difference to the fish.

I doubt it would be worse here. You know why I think that? Because on so many other items of REAL importance - people just shrug their shoulders and say, "Well I guess they're (our elected politicians) gonna do what they're gonna do." I've heard that sentence SOOOO many times over the years by friends, relatives, neighbors, and people within my hearing / earshot at church, in a grocery store, etc. Too many people seem to think we work for, and need to "obey" them - our elected officials. They work for US ...... not the other way around. That's why ALL Americans need to speak up, and instead of listening to what the politicians SAY - watch what they DO when they write legislation.

I was a director and secretary of a Trout Unlimited Chapter here in Pa. for some years. An elected state representative told our chapter members that on ANY BIG topic of concern in the state, his office might get 1 or 2 post cards or letters with opinions on the topic. That's why I say - most people just shrug their shoulders and roll over. WAAAAY too much apathy by the public. If we marched in the streets by the millions - they wouldn't dare touch Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid ------ or change the laws cutting our 401-k's & pensions. If they can give MULTI-BILLION dollar tax breaks to multi-millionaires and multi-billionaires ....... we SHOULD NEVER allow the politicians (of ANY party) to rip us off from what we've paid into all our working lives!!!!!!!!!! They work FOR US ---------- NOT the other way around.

Politicians smarter than Gary Alt? When politicians get involved in PGC business nothing good can come out of it. They have plenty of other things to deal with. Leave the game management to the professionals. The PGC!

While I am not a fan of the Gameless Commission I am even a lesser fan of our State Legislator. They bring every grievance group into the picture.

I don't think the PGC is considering dropping AR for Srs. for any type of gain, I think the idea behind it is giving the Srs. more opportunities.
and will have no impact on license sales.

I don't think they're considering it at all. This proposal is just more Legislative interference. The PGC didn't propose this nonsense.

Ever time I visit camp and gaze at the number of spike and y antlers on the walls, I reflect on how many were from the one tag a year days...even the red and black checked days...

We were a meat camp, pap, dad and a bunch of his friends and their kids cycling thru and I remember being chewed on passing on a [then legal] spike which one of dad's friends shot over the next ridge.

Doe tags were a second chance to put a deer in the freezer.

Now deer season is just me, my self and I making my hunt slower and closer to camp and the racks are bigger.

Joe Biden's forte. :ROFLMAO:
i think dropping AR for seniors is all about giving someone a last chance at a buck, any buck IF THEY CHOOSE. for some, it could be their last season, sitting 20 yards behind camp because thats as far as their legs and lungs will take them, hoping to share in one last buck harvest with their son or daughter and you "sportsmen" want to take that away and keep it from happening.

well, just pat yourself on the back this Sunday when you go to church and tell the preacher how proud you are of what you did.

It would have ZERO effect on the deer herd, with that said why would anyone be against it?
Beyond that the youngins out there may understand better when they reach Sr. status.
