Take a shovel of dirt go upstream and throw it just above where your worms are laying on the bank.. We never fished out deep when sucker fishing.. Maybe one foot from shore.. Since the suckers are known to feed on the edge of streams. The chumming with a shovel full of dirt is to trigger a strike on the feeding suckers... ????????/ I have never tried it but I did hear about if from a well know family from NEPA that use to fish the Bowmans Creek for trout all during the trout season.. I would think that if anyone would have know this family lived on Bowmans creek..
