I just got a old outboard from a women my wife works with. It was her fathers and after he passed away they were cleaning out the house and just wanted it gone. It is a Lauson S-353. What I have seen on line it was made from 1953 to 1956 is 2.5hp, 4 cycle and air cooled. It looks to be in very good shape but I haven't had time to see if it will run yet. Does anyone know anything about these motors? I'm looking forward to trying to get it running.

I got the motor out today and cleaned it up a little. After checking the oil, spark plug and putting in fresh gas I tried starting it. To my surprise it fired up on the 4th pull and ran great. Can't wait to try it out at the lake.
