I acquired an old, now I mean old, Globe meat slicer. It runs fine and everything works except for the part that turns the blade has a flat spot on it. It has a rubber bushing mounted on the end of the motor shaft that sits against the back side of the blade housing that spins the blade. I'm sure I can probably come up with something that will work but I'm looking for the part to keep from doing that. This slicer came out of a "company store" in southwestern Pa. The entire slicer is cast iron coated in porceline and has to weight 50/60 lbs. I contacted Globe and they told me that it is from around the 1930/1940 era. I've tried looking up parts on the internet and can't find any company that handles parts for something this old. Was wondering if anyone out there might have some sources for parts that I haven't tried yet. Thanks in advance.
