That is sad, I've been listening to his Albums, 8tracks,cassettes, cd's since 1968
I can remember playing some of his stuff on a portable 8track in the motor pool (army) in Italy in the late 70's, some of the "brothers" were not impressed with it haha

He made a lot of people happy, influenced many in all genres of music....(except perhaps rap?), he was a gift to us all.
