Hitting up my windmill oak stand. Saw a few on the drive in. Will be a short walk in. Sitting in the jeep waiting for about 25 minutes before I get ready and walk in. First legal deer is getting the arrow. Hoping to redeem myself for last weeks non recovery. Shot the bow more, everything is dialed in. Good luck guys going to be a wet morning hunt for sure.

Got up, got dressed, got in truck, rain was pouring. Got out of truck, got undressed, staying home this morning. Just not comfortable shooting one in heavy rain. Will be out this afternoon.

Not much going on in 5c...except fog. You would think it was raining with all the dripping from the trees. Feels like Halloween...cool, slight breeze, fog...eery. If I see a headless deer run by I am out.

They were harvesting beans around 5am when we got here. Saw 3 in the flashlight walking in but nothing since. Dad saw one small 8 and a pair of coyotes that he couldn't get a shot at. Probably going to sit until about 11

A lot of rubs next to where I was this morning. I am thinking I found a buck's home turf. If we don't get rained out, I will sit there in the evening. I also plan to put my camera out to see if I am right. Dream big!!

Sat for about 2.5 hours, wet, and the rain has picked up from a light mist. Got down, and came in. I have helped in the past with some horrible attempts at tracking deer in bad weather. Wet-dark leaves, and thick brush t in the rain make for horrible tracking--don't need it--I'll wait things out.

Decided not to go out this morning with the rain. But, once the rain stops(1-3pm) I'll be headed to the stand. I love hunting right when the rain stops.

Soggy morning sit, no action. Got down and did some power scouting. Hopefully I gathered some intel that will pay off later in the week.

I'm heading to work, good luck everyone!
