In my stand for a rare morning hunt have a vacation day today going to pick up wine grapes later. No wind but very wet it rained about 3am here in upper 5C

In my stand before daylight ! Just put this stand up yesterday due to my trail cam cards showing a lot of doe movement through this area and several fresh rubs that have popped up in the last couple days !!!

Had a buck grunting and chasing hard but never got to see him !
About 10 I had a group of 5 does pass by my stand at 20 Yds and then about a 1/2 hour later I had a single doe come by but no buck in toe !
It's starting to heat up fellows in 2G
I have to leave about noon for work but I will be out every morning until the last 2 weeks and then I have vac and will be out all day everyday !!

Got kids on the bus and in stand at 8:30. Just saw 3 doe and a spike. Put this stand up yesterday. Didn't do a good job as all 4 came in down wind. Didn't see one due to some hemlocks behind me until it was 10 yards away.

First time I've in the stand this season. I guess you could say I'm getting a late start. Doesn't matter though. I'll hit the crap out of it the next few weeks. Finally feels and looks like fall out. I'm mentally ready to go!

Saw a few today no shooter bucks and small groups of does.

Had a lull in teh wind around 7-830 then got breezy again.

Wind drove me back in

Had a good morning, but was ultimately busted. 5 doe circled behind me and they were out. The wind was shifty this morning in 5C after that late night rain. Spike came thru just before I got down, scrapes and rubs everywhere! Even colder tomorrow

First time I've been to my best stand in a week and notice two fresh scrapes 15 yards in front of the tree. Just got settled in and heard something coming from behind and out pops a 6 point and he proceeded to work those very scrapes before wandering off.

Just waiting for grandpa to show up now and do the same...
