I’m a small business owner and we are extremely busy so I made the decision that any legal buck that presented a shot this year was fair game. I got up and decided I would go out immediately after the rain stopped. Finally after pacing around the house I went out when it became a light mist. I got settled in my stand at 8:50. A big doe walked by at 9:38 from my left to right. This buck came straight at me at 9:45. Finally he turns quartering away at 15 yards to the left of my stand. After confirming it was legal I settled in and took the shot. He ran 20 yards behind my stand and stops as if nothing ever happened. It seemed like forever but probably only a minute or two and he wobbled and crashed. Then he stood back up quick and back down for good.
