In 5c this morning, 1 doe so far. I have Been off for 2 weeks put over 100 hrs in the woods. Missed a big buck on Halloween, had a few good encounters, but didn't have that magic rut day this year. Back to work tomorrow. Season will be over sat for my place in 3D, I will be hunting 5C when i can until thanksgiving. Hopefully get a buck down today.

Traveling to Gettysburg for a regional meeting today and tomorrow. Won't get out until Saturday for the last full day sit. I hate when it comes down to the last day or the regular season. I'm just not seeing deer. I have an ACE in my sleeve for Saturday. Could be great or it could be terrible.

Strapped stand to tree. Went to strap harness to tree. No harness. That's a kick in the gut. Luckily near my dads big platform wooden stand. Only 8 ft off the ground. Not great but better than the ground or the dangers of being in my climber without a harness. Slow morning so far.

Heard some grunting this morning as I was getting settled at about 6. He moved across my front on an old logging trail that's 30 yds away. I could barely make out a silhouette in the glow of suburbia. Then unknowns walking all around me before light. Turkeys flew down behind me and toms gobbling and chatting hens all over the place. Only one lone doe seen so far.

4 doe and 1 unknown. The doe were here for over an hour. Getting fat on acorns. Place is loaded. Good luck

Just saw my first bobcat ever. So cool. I've seen tracks in this area while out checking traps. Now to try and catch him this season.

Happy birthday! It is mine as well (45th) but I am having some major stomach issues and was up all night so didn't make it out yet. The last time I killed a deer on my birthday was my 30th, I shot a doe and it happened to be the last day of the season that year too. Both a first for me.

Grunted in a huge bodied spike in this morning spikes were at least 15" long. Feet got cold around 9, then der came with their noisy leaf blower so I left

Still nothing deer wise here in 5b. This now day 4 of vacation and I have yet to see a deer. Probably the worst season for me in terms of seeing deer. Oh well it only takes 30 seconds to change a season. I don't know how long I will sit today. This no deer sightings thing is making it hard to stay.
