Can anyone tell me why some regionial offices aren't maned at this time of year. You have to leave a message and they will get back to you the next day. Wow, so much for reporting of poaching of deer. By the time they get back to you the evedence will be gone.

Ummmm, budgets? No license increase in umpteen years?

Wait til you find out that PennDOT is not calling out plow crews this winter until there is four (4) or more inches of snow on the road. Then you'll be really happy.

PGC dispatchers work the holiday, just limited hours - call it in. What's your beef? What do you expect when less than 10% of PA's population are paying almost 100% of the wildlife resource management costs at a 1998 funding level?

Why call county control, 911 or PSP, they don't want do squat when it is within their field. When we first moved to Pa, Mrs. had a hunter putting on a drive between the house and barn, 125 ft apart. She called 911, was turned over to the PSP and they said it is out of their field/jurisdiction.

Some counties can and will directly contact on-duty WCOs/DWCOs by radio/cell phone and relay violation information to them in a timely manner.
