Got a frantic call from my wife last night that a big bear was destroying the bird feeders on our deck. Wish it was daylight but I got home just in time to hear him fall off the deck, after climbing up on the railing trying to reach one of the feeders.

We had one on our deck a few years ago, eating food off of our picnic table. It was in buck season and it was cold so we kept some food on the deck out back. He ate a whole tomato pie (a huge, square pizza, for those on the western side of the state).

We have to drive our trash to a dumpster. One year, when the kids were both in diapers, I had a few trash bags on the front porch. A bear got into them and there was a trail of dirty diapers going from our driveway and into the woods. It was gross.
