I have been seeing this buck for a few years. He's at least 5.5, but I'm going to send a tooth in. We've never seen him in person, but get a lot of pics at
night and even a few in the daytime. No set pattern to his movements.
Well, yesterday afternoon he moved a little too early and I was just off to the side of his wind as he came down the ridge at about 510. He was a very cautious deer, and there were a few tense moments before the shot, but he came in front of me at 25 yards and I put a good shot on him with the Ithaca DSIII 20 gauge. Nice mature deer, bad genetics for points, but he was a challenge to get. Thanks for looking.
Checked my camera after I shot him to see he was out with his girlfriend in the morning.
