Hey guys,

I know that when spring gobbler season starts it says " legal hunting hours are one-half hour before sunrise until noon". Does that mean that (if I am hunting on public game lands) I can not enter the woods until a half hour before sunrise or can I enter the woods, set up and then wait for half an hour before sunrise to actually start hunting?

Thanks (dont want to break any laws by accident)!

you can go to your spot whenever you would like....cannot shoot at a bird until legal hunting hours......

You do need to be OUT of the woods an hour after quitting time so that the hens on the nests are less disturbed...

Don't forget second part of the season when it's legal in some units to hunt until sunset. Haven't checked the book yet, but I believe it's a split season in the Warren area.
