I was once told that if you wanted a bobcat that it's best to hunt the Northern Tier of our state.
New this year with a bobcat permit you can hunt or trap in WMU 4B. I predator hunter now for 33 years I have called in only 2 bobcat in Cumberland County... Now they are in Cumberland County North of INT 81 but can't say they are abundant.. Plus the 2 bobcat were well maybe over 25 years ago.. They came into the dying rabbit both times and it was quite the memory to just see them stalking the calling.

This is good though.. at least one can get out just say if there is bad weather in the Northern Counties of Pa where the abundant bobcat live.. I know some trappers who have caught bobcat and released them when trapping canines in Cumberland county and Dauphin county which of course is yet another WMU.
