So I test drove a 2016 Silverado the other weekend. I must say it ran very well (as you'd expect in a brand new truck). The one I drove had 3.08 gears. I have to imagine the 3.42s would give you a bit more get up and go from a dead stop. Does anyone know what is "standard" in these trucks: the 3.08 vs. the 3.42s? The mileage some of you guys are reporting is terrific. I have an 09 Ram now and can't get better than 16.2 according to the computer, and that's being generous.
