I have seen in my natchez catalog some scope mounts that are one piece, made by DNZProducts They are machined from one billet, making the rings and base as one peice. They claim they remove any misalignment. Has anyone ever used these? They make them from the rem 700 as well. Thanks in advance.

Well, I just picked up one of the new Redfield Revolution 3-9x40 at my local shop. They are selling them for $130.00 I plan on mounting this scope on the one piece base I mentioned above. This scope has a generous 5 inches of eye relief. I dont know if anyone has looked through these scopes, but WOW. I was sold the moment I peeked through it. So crisp, I couldnt believe it. Now I know high end scope are clearer, but for the price they are selling these at...just WOW! I almost didn't get one cuz I went to gander mountain and looked at the one they have on the wall for everyone to look at. Those do NOT show you how well these scopes are made. Almost like they are cheapies that if someone drops, it wouldnt matter. Have them open a new one. night and day difference! I will repost when I get it mounted and sighted in. I will let you know how well it tracks and what not. Bob

Holy Cow! I used some cheap remington core lokts to sight in the new redfield with one piece base. That scope tracks like a coon hound. I was 3 inches right and two inches low at 100 yards. I counted clicks and bam! right on bulls eye! The one piece scope mount and Redfield scope are a great combo for my gun. just an update on the combo i used.

Yea, that is a good way to do it. I also do that with my bolts. Just remove the bolt and do the same. I gotta tell ya, I really REALLY love the new Redfield scopes. Man are they nice. I wish they would expande their line up some. Like a 4-16x42 mil dot or something for varminting. I have never liked core lokts though. I handload and I was using them to sight in and break in barrel. They were cheap, like 17 bucks a box or something. No sense is burning handloads to sight in and break in. I did use the same bullet weight to get me close to hand loads.
