I with they would make the barrels so that the chamber area extended a little further prior to tapering. I hate the way a Weaver 410 base hangs over the barrel on the forward end. Wish they were flush.
Glad to hear it worked out for you. I was shooting factory core-Lokt's in my '06 as well, and they really held a group nicely.
What I love about my encore, is "Bore-sighting" it on the bench after a barrel change. Open the action, set on the rest, and look through the scope and barrel while adjusting to get it close! Works like a champ!
