Not a lot of rubs this year. Which is strange, because we have trail cam pics of lots of bucks. The property is all overgrown clear cut, bordered by laurel and blueberry thicket and hemlock swamps. So, it's REALLY thick. Could be that we never stumbled upon him. I think I have an idea where he might bed. In SGL, on the side of the mountain. On a bench. It's really steep, almost like a cliff. Found a big, warm bed. Maybe it's him.
As the crow flies, I suppose he's not too, too far from the Brass Pelican. I sure hope he's not wandering that far. That could get him killed. Not to mention, it would make him very hard for me to pattern.
