New E-Bike

Got a kinda new (too much/big for my father in-law) E-Bike. Anybody hear of Bee-Cool Bikes? I had it up to 40mph!! Huge fat tires, looks like it'll go anywhere.

Really excited about the potential. So big though, thinking about a bike rack, maybe the hitch receiver kind? Rather not lay it down in the back of the pick up. What do you guys think?

I got a hitch type motorcycle rack for mine. Works great! Was around $100 online.

My daughter and son in law had a pad that draped over the tailgate when they had theirs. My only thing with that would have been getting it in the bed and then lifted over the tailgate, but I’m also not 30 years old like them.

I really like that carrier. Do you know what brand it is, is it on Amazon?

My daughter was using it for transportation to the stores and gym in some of the places they were living. It was cheaper than running a car to them, but they realized it was more seasonal than they thought so they sold it and bought a car. My son in law is an apprentice lineman and they’ve done a lot of traveling and living in a camper the past 2 years.

Get the hitch mount. Loading / unloading a regular pedal mountain bike in the back of a full size truck is enough of a hassle.

yeah I am liking the motorcycle hitch mount. I like to explore new places and don't want to have to worry about lifting this loading/unloading.

I have two EBIKES.I have a motorcycle carrier and while I never had a bike fall,it just seems sketchy.I bought a Rambo dual bike carrier and it's not much better.Honestly,If I'm only taking one,I just lay it down in the back of my truck. It really isn't any easier using a rack.Once you get a little process,it's not bad at all.If you really want use the hitch, spend the money and get a oneup.
I also use a motorcycle carrier that has a ramp, bought it at Harbor Freight $130.00 with coupon. Like dce said if you want the best get a 1up-USA carrier Big $$$

I had the E-bike out today, awesome time, good weather, bike performed great. I was able to load/unload myself, I strapped the bikes to the side wall of the truck box (upright). That seemed to work out really nice. I am still looking at carrier options, but it was good to know I can handle it on my own. Cannot wait for the next nice day to get out again!

I have the One Up rack. It's not the cheapest option but the price of the ebikes it is worth it

Ebikes are fun. I got one last year…mine is a Lectric XP. It’ll only do 28mph but with its tire size and design that’s plenty. I rarely go that fast I keep the pedal assist low to extend range. I put about 140 miles on it last year before I put it away for the winter.
