If I hear one more "pro-gun 2nd amendment supporter, proud gun owner, etc" refer to a semiautomatic rifle as an "assault weapon" or say that they are ok with model specific bans, magazine capacity restrictions etc etc I think my head is gonna explode!!!!!!!

Gun control isn't about guns, It's about control. Gov't control. They are just using the Newtown shooting, and "assault guns" as a means of selling it to the populous. It's all an excuse. It's similar to using 9/11 as an excuse to sell the "patriot act" which is an obvious loss to our freedoms.

The Regime, and the left wanted gun bans LOOOONG before the newtown shooting, and will want more regardless if they get some or not. They will only be satisfied with confiscation, and their Socialist Utopia which does not exist.

I have heard it all in the past month.

Someone said AR stands for Automatic Rifle.

I've heard numerous people call them AUTOMATIC ASSAULT RIFLES.

I've heard people claim that the Newtown shooter simply "pulled the trigger and sprayed 30 bullets in a matter of seconds".+

I've heard the term "military style" far too many times lately.

I've heard Jesse Jackson say that AR 15s can "shoot down airplanes".

I've heard Piers Morgan claim that the only people who want AR 15s are those who wish to commit mass murders.

I've heard a retired US General claim that the "high powered" .223/5.56mm round leaves the barrel of an AR 15 at over 3,000 fps and has a "devastating effect on the human body on impact". He claimed that he carried an M16 and then an M4 later in his career, inferring that these are the same as an AR 15. Sorry General, no cigar.

The list goes on and on. The media is working together on this massive misinformation campaign to try and convince the American people that an AR 15 is a FULLY AUTOMATIC weapon that the military uses on the battlefield.

Lies, all lies.
