I posted back when he passed but I don’t believe this forum existed back then. My dad died of Covid on December 8th, 2221. He was the greatest outdoorsman I’ve ever known. He pretty much harvested every game animal in Pa and caught everything that swims. Words can’t express how much I miss him. Love you dad. I had some ink done for him as well.

He was great outdoorsman. Always enjoyed our yote hunts together. When his gun cracked usually money in the bank.

That's a gagger of a buck in the one pic. I'd love to hear the story of that hunt!! All those pics show great times.
He shot that buck the season before he died. Did a quick score before we left the taxidermist at 148". I hunted all day making small drives for my dad, we went home and he decided to go back out for the last two hours of daylight. I told him if he killed anything to give me a call since he was only hunting right up the street from where we live. My dad was 77 so would need some help if he managed to take a deer. I had just put away my gear for the day and was about to take a shower when my cellphone rang. It was my dad, "I just hit a good one", he said. I replied to hang tight and would be there in 15 minutes. When I got there he was patiently waiting my arrival. He said the buck came to him chasing a doe and disappeared after he shot, only about 40yds away. We walked over to where he shot and found the buck laying dead, it had fallen down a small incline. We were thrilled to say the least. I had gotten trailcam pics of that buck two years previously but none that year. It was a beast. We had one heck of a time loading it in the back of his truck.I sent a tooth in to get aged, turns out the buck was 7 years old.. I'm glad we got the mount back before he passed. Here’s pics I got of it alive two years before

Sorry for your loss. Sure looks like your dad made the most of his years. He fit a lot of experiences into those 77 years and left you with a lot of great memories.
