There is no date. You can purchase them all season long at any issuing agent. You can go to Wal-Mart today and get if you want or wait until Christmas Eve or buy it during the actual flintlock season. They did away with the deadline a while back.

Maybe it was that the place he went just didn't have them any longer and did not want to refill thier little book of back tag stamps and used the excuse "You can not buy them after this date"???

I only ever had 1 of those stamps like on most licenses in past years....have gotten some comments by my buddies that I was hunting illegally for I had no Muzzleloader stamp...

Thing they didn't look close at, was I had a little number written in on Mine and printed off receipt in my wallet (LOL, Yeah, I'm 1 of those hunters who carries 1 of those thingies) that showed the same exact number and that it was paid for over the internet!

i dont know but last year .i think it was at wal-mart they told me i had to of get it by 12 midnite on christmas before the season started. i usually dont shop at their sporting goods but they are open 24-7. went today for 12 guage slugs 2 and 3 quarter and they looked at me like i was the idiot,im thinking if they are allowed to sell ammo they should at least have a clue . could be dangerous if a novice went for shells and relied on their cleark steering them in the right path. well sorry.just had to get that off my chest. everyone going out tomarrow have a good hunt

Yes, This year is no stamp.. years past, there was a stamp either put on your license or a number you could write in!
