Just wanted people to know that he was evading the war when young men were fighting and dying for his freedom to flap his jaw. That's all I was say in.
Fighting for his freedom? In Viet Nam? I don't think so. They were fighting alright but not for our freedoms. Viet Nam eventually fell to the the commies. What freedoms were lost here in America when that happened? What freedoms were lost when the USA pulled out?
I remember watching a documentary on that war. Viet Nam vets were recounting stories about their personal experiences there. One soldier told of taking a hill from the North Vietnamese army. They won the battle, took the hill, good men died and a few weeks later they gave up the same hill. He said it was then that he knew there was no clear objective in that war. We should not have been there and even Defense Secretary John MacNamara said, 30 years later, it was a mistake.
Btw, I have all the respect in the world for the guys who fought in that war. They did what they were asked to do.
