I left my boat cover off for a few weeks, its parked under roof. Went to cover today and mice had gotten into my folded cover, built a nest and defecated all thru the cover. what a stinking mess.

got me wondering as i keep my travel trailer and boat (usually covered) out under pavilion... is there anything you can put in the boat or travel trailer (besides a cat) that might deter mice from getting in and nesting?

I've tried dropping some moth balls under the floor in my boat. Seems to have worked if you don't mind the occasional whiff of moth balls.

Better than finding chewed up wiring or a mess of nuts, seeds and Poop all over the place.

I've also heard that those clothes dryer sheets are good deterrents. Stuff 'em in the places where they run and nest. They can't stand the smell of 'em...and they smell better than moth balls.
