Shot this over the weekend. First shot to the right was the fouling shot. Shot at 100 yards. The rifle is a Remington Model Seven Ls (laminated stock) in 7mm-08 with a Simmons 2-7 on top. Still not sure if I like the rifle, the LOP seems to be a bit short. Might still look around for a .280.
the stock LOP can be easily fixed with a recoil pad. And the pad also will soften recoil. Most model 7 that I've shot are a little short on LOP for me (and I'm not a large individual. But for PA deer hunting with layers of clothes that short LOP may be perfect.
There are slip on recoil pads that work great in summer range shooting, and can quickly be removed for winter deer hunting with heavy clothes.
