Just got a letter that they are going to do seismic testing on our proerty in Potter County. Where do I check to see if we own our mineral rights? We only have 1.5 acres, how much intrusion can we expect?
generally speaking if your deed reads "fee simple" you will own the mineral rights. You should check with an attorney or an abstract company to do a deed search to be sure.
With seismic testing very limited intrusion. might have a wire across your property for a few weeks if that. But if you don't have a gas lease they won't go on your property without your permission.
