Who all is headed to camp for memorial weekend? List where your camp is, any activities (hunting, fishing, off roading, working, etc...) and if you have anything special going on the grill for that weekend?

We have a full house going up this year. My parents, brother, sister, her bf, my wife and 2 kids and myself. Oh, and 4 dogs. We are planning on making a new firepit and perhaps figuring out how get water from our spring to the cabin (our spring is a little ways down hill from the cabin) Lots of fishing (on penns!) and swimming. I'm bringing my charcoal smoker up for beef brisket and backstraps. Dad said he was going to bring up steaks for another night. Its going to be a very fun memorial day!! I can't wait!!!
Our cabin is in Union County.

I have a crew of friends and family coming up to my place in marienville this Memorial Day, I plan to finish the outside stain on Friday. Then the quad riding and fun begins! I'll be cooking some fillets over a bed of hot coals on evening, and a friend is bringing his smoker, not sure what's going in there, but I'm sure it will be good.

Tioga Co. with my son. Annual trip around cemeteries in Potter, Tioga and Steuben Co. to "visit" deceased kinfolks.

One year a cousin and I lugged a bunch of cleaning products and water along, scrubbed off our grandparents' headstone over near Germania Station.

Two of our "ol' biddy" cousins in their 80s, visited later and couldn't figure out who had spiffed-up the marker. Neither one believes to this day, that Bill and I did it. Wimmin never wanta give men credit for anything.

Stop to visit a friend or two along the way at their camps, visit a few relatives up there that ain't in the ground yet.

Been doing this Memorial Day weekend thing since I was a little feller, part of the family traditions.

Heading to camp for memorial day weekend. Some gobbler hunting, some trout fishing, but most importantly going to get the ball rolling, on having a neew camp built. The old house has served us well for 62 years but there have been problems with the foundation. We have the money to get a new one built. We all agreed on what we want so we are getting the process started.

Living in the mountains year round Memorial weekend usually sends me down to the flatland of Cape May County weekends till mid September. Big boats is already in the water, smaller boat and jet-ski will go in Sunday of Memorial weekend.
Hopefully will start filling the freezer with flounder filet, crab and some tuna.
Making sure I stay hydrated with ice cold beer will also be a priority

Monday, be involved in several events honoring the real reason of this holiday.
No matter where you go be safe.

Clarington Forest county, trying to make it a long work weekend (ugh) son daughter-in-law my wife and me. We will have visitors I am sure so a few cold ones will fly. Would love to hunt fish and scout all weekend but I really need a long work weekend to finish up a couple things so maybe I can start to enjoy the woods and camp more, if the work is ever done!

I will take a moment to honor those who gave and are not here any more.

Denny- Curious as to where you go in Steuben Co....that's my old stomping grounds! Have many kin resting there and many more still alive!
Two uncles and an aunt buried in Whitesville Cemetery; Coupla cousins live over near Troupsburg; One cousin from "down here", has a camp in Steuben Co., between Troupsburg and Whitesville.

The daughter of an old buddy that I grew up with, has a camp just over the line in NY, less than a mile from our camp. Didn't even know it until several years ago, now her hubby stops over to visit during firearms deer season, when I'm at camp.

My parents were married in the Whitesville UM church in 1945, after dad returned from WWII. Our camp north of Westfield, is less than a half mile from the NY line.

Pretty good "deer country" around there, these days.
