I'm looking for a small day pack for hunting and the Maxpedition packs have caught my eye as a well made, water tight-ish pack to carry a days worth of hunting possibles. I have a midsize fannypack now and it works, i'mjust ready for a single strap sling pack i think. they seem more comfortable to carry. Thoughts?

I have a Maxpedition Sitka Gear Slinger pack. It's bullet proof but not water proof. They're great packs if you're not planning on carrying a lot of weight. Once you start putting a lot of weight into it though it gets pretty uncomfortable. It digs into your shoulder. By the time it reaches that point though the pack is almost bursting it's so stuffed. If you can keep the weight down it's a wonderful design.
