I'm picking one up on a trade next week with an extreme bone collector site, whisker bisquit rest, sts, sims stabilizer, alpine quiver, peep, kisser, loop...along with 10 carbon express maxima hunter 350 mathews edition arrows.

The draw length is perfect for me and I'm going to take it in to have the kisser and peep readjusted to me if needed. Outside of that anything I should know about this bow (ie gotchas, issues, special tweaks I should do, etc...)?

Just got to ask this one burning question. With the DXT being just released little over a year ago, why in the heck would they release the Reezen so close to when the DXT got released. You'd think they would let the DXT's lifecycle run for a bit longer before introducing a new bow. It's almost as if they reelased the Reezen so close to the DXT that they are competiting against themselves vs. other MFG's. Just made me wonder if there wasn't anything wrong with the DXT that I should be aware of.

Most bow models have a life span of about 2 years, although they will continue to make that bow longer if it sells good they often stop marketing it after the second year and focus all the advertising dollars on the new stuff. The DXT is 3 years old now they came out in 07 so it has run its course. The drenalin and DXT seem to have a better following by the folks that have been loyal Mathesw shooters. The reezen and monster having a more aggressive draw cycle is a departure from the smooth draw mathews bows were known for.

Yeah, from what I'm gathering the Reezen was more Mathews to coming up with the fastest bow they absolutely could design in an ends justify the means method vs. their standard development method which is to design better bows for shooting/hunting. Cool....feel a lot better about getting the DXT now. From what I'm being told I should be a VERY happy camper upgrading from a 2003 PSE Typhoon to a 2009 DXT.

Got the DXT just over a week ago and LOVE IT!!!!Got everything dialed in at 20yds with fieldpoints and already I have to shoot at different spots on the target as I've stripped the fletching off of (2) arrows and shot out the knocks on (2) more (shooting field points at that). That's some tight grouping. Can only imagine how that's going to improve when I put on my 3D equipment.
