Question, if I have 50 acres and drill a marcellus gas well, I am sure I will be sucking up the gas greater then the 50 acres I own. So how many acres would the royalties have to be divided between. Is there some precedent on the legal boundries?

Pa is a right of capture state . as long as the well is on you its your gas . providing you are not in some type of group to get better lease arrangement .

that is wrong. you cannot drill a marcellus well (7000 ft dee only on 50 acres you won't get a permit. you need acreage groups around 640 ac to drill then your 50 would get a certain percantage offthe total production. a shallow well though and you would get it all around 4000 ft deep
