I decided after all these years mixing sausage by hand it's time to buy a meat mixer! I make around 100 pounds per year so don't need any thing fancy just reliable. any good recommendation?

Our gang uses the cabelas model with the hand crank which works well for batches 10-25lbs or so. Anything less than 10lbs and the meat just kind of flips around without really mixing well. We modified a shaft to fit into our grinder and attaches to the axle on the mixer to take all manual labor out of the process, that was the best improvement, but we were also doing like 400-500lbs in a day. It’s been a couple years since our gang got together for what we jokingly called our Sausage Fest weekend.

I can recommend Manual Torres. He normally stomps grapes for a local winery but I’m sure he can use the extra money to mix your meat. No more hand mixing 😁
