I hate to see this. I kind of recall that there is a deer carcas there. Hopefully he can scavage through this winter and throw off the mange.

yes it stinks to see this, i have pigs i put out after butcher, ill keep them out and hope he can make it on that.

typically, the mite infestation breaks down the animal's resistance and something else finishes them off.

its a shame and if the fox is left to suffer it spreads to other animals there's a lot of foxes with mange in nj where i hunt and i got a fox on the first day of buck season this year and it also had mange
