Man I hate Cabelas

I miss the days of knowing anything you bought with a Cabela‘s name on it was going to be quality. I’m looking to update my rain gear and I can’t find anything on the website that suits me. I’ve had a Cabela’s gift card for probably going on two years now and every time I try to use it they don’t have what I want, they don’t have my size, they no longer carry the brand I wanted, and something I was interested in was $30 cheaper on Amazon. I miss the old Cabela’s.
I’ve had this Skyline Apparition gortex for as long as I can remember. Still waterproof, but as noisy as they come. Made in the USA

Used to love when Cabelas carried Meindl boots. As soon as Bass Pro took over they got rid of that line of boots. They got rid of a lot of the real good hunting clothing also.
Crap. Best boots I ever had and they were definitely going to be my next
Can't say I feel the same way. I will say I was surprised when Cabela's was taken over by Bass Pro. Its a better option than going bankrupt and loosing another outdoor store. Johnny Morris is for the outdoorsman and the lifestyle. The company supports many organizations that help our lifestyle. I've never had any issues with Bass Pro or Cabela's. I'll continue to support them as well as other stores that support the outdoor lifestyle.

Still have a Goretex, wool, thinsulate rain suite in Tree Camo from the early 80's will is still in very good condition a lighter weight rain pant and top which is very good from mid 2000 which is very good.

However, I got a rain suit in the early 80's wore it one full day and got soaked I think it was dry plus. I do wear it for short times out in the rain and it is OK.

Also over the years I have bought A LOT and no problem yet however, I have purchased very little in the last 5-7 years.

Cabela’s wasn’t going bankrupt, a hedge fund bought an 11% stake in the company and forced it to be sold to Bass Pro Shops. When the stock shot up in response to the merger they cashed out for $90 million but the damage was done.
I made a pretty nice chunk of money selling my Cabelas stock before it was acquired.

YES! I still have 2 of those turtlenecks. They are a * to put on because they don't stretch at all, but they are great once you get them on.
We bought a couple of those wind-blocking pullover sweaters too. You're right ^^^ they ARE a brute to pull on - but they really block the wind!!! Warm as you could ask for. Too bad they aren't available anymore.
Try Meindl USA they are Sidney Nebraska Cabelas former employees. The Cabelas Perfek hunter is now the Comfort Hunter. I buy from them and the boots are true Meindl.
I looked there. Their boots max out at 600gram insulation, mine are 800. Their prices are nearly double what I paid for the Cabela's version. I may have to bite the bullet and try theirs. Here's mine.
