I've been hunting the loyalsock state forest the past three years in Sullivan County, around Worlds End State Park and around the Hillsgrove area, but I have never ventured over into Lycoming County area. I am looking to expand my hunting area and was wondering how the bear hunting was over there in the state forest. I don't want any locations or hot spots, just a general idea on how the hunting is. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you in advance.

Welcome to the site . Our camp is on the Lycoming /Sullivan border above Hillsgrove . Folks do quite well harvesting bears in Lycoming with organized drives . Deer numbers are low for sure ! Best of luck....Finn

I fish up there - and get a cabin at Worlds End State Park each year. The only hunting I do is for coyotes, and there are plenty up there.

That is truly God's Country - love the peace & tranquility.

I do alot of roaming via the logging roads in and around Maston area.

Not too many deer in them parts though - season is basically 24/365 for bambi....

Good Luck to You
