I am looking for someone to go bear hunting with this year. I just found out no one will be going to the camp I have gone to the past couple years. I am thinking of just going localy to Clarks Valley in Dauphin County or Perry County area. I plan on hunting all three days.

I may be interested as I will be off work that week. Haven't done much bear hunting before, but I'll take the woods over the couch anyday.

You looking to sit or drive?
Mountain, swamp or farmland?
I live a few minutes from Clarks Valley and am trying to get a few places locked up for the first 2 days with my group. We plan to drive heavy, thick swampy cover all day each day. If that sounds good, let me know and I"ll see if I can get a commitment from the other guys. If not, maybe we can just get together and go?

We might be, I am still waiting for my normal crew to all call back and commit for this year. I will keep you posted. As for places to stay, there is the Bisking Bed and Breakfast, which is about 8 miles from me and is $75/night. That is as cheap as there is in the valley. If any of the guys back out, I may have a spot at my place, but currently, I am over max capacity, LOL!

PANRA and Loner, we are going scouting this sunday. Looks like we are going to try to sit a bit more than drive on monday, due to the age and condition of some of the guys, but we will be doing some drives. If either of you are interested, let me know, we have room for you both to hunt.
