Some advise please. Whenever I shoot my long bow, it takes me about 8 - 12 shots to get myself on the mark. Being new to this sport I guess I don't know if this is normal in fact and in the number of shots it takes to settle in. Ive seen folks shoot and it appears that once they step up to the line they are ready to shoot for score. How do they do that?

I've been shooting a longbow for about 3 years now and I know for a fact, the more you shoot the better you'll get. Just keep flinging arrows and work on your form. It will come.

Thanks guys. That's what I am doing: shoot, shoot and shoot some more. Getting blisters on the release finger tips!
