Out this afternoon/evening,went up Wilson Switch road, then back out some other roads, came across a marker set up by the boy scouts in memory of Henry McCauley of Pittsburgh.
He died on his way on foot from Medix to a farm on top the mountain the night before deer season 1909.
As stupid as it might sound,I sat down and shared a cold beer with him at his marker.
Just what kind of breed of men did they raise back then ,to risk death ,just to go deer hunting?
