I have two PSE bows, an 07 X-force and an 08 X-force, both are HF cams, 7" BH with 50-60 lb. limbs. I want to stick with the 7" brace height while looking to "flatten" my shots (tighten the 20 and 30 yard pins). I have the 08 turned down all the way and it is pulling 62 lbs. I shot an EVO 7 (60-70 lb.) and while I liked the bow, I really like the draw cycle on my current X-forces. My draw length is 30.25 and I am considering having 60-70 lb. limbs put on my 08. I have plenty of time to become very comfortable holding more weight and I don't see why limb replacement isn't the smarter way to go than buying a different bow (I like the draw cycle on mine and it has to be less expensive).
Somebody must have went through this before and I am looking for some opinions to help me to make an intelligent decision. I figure that I would keep the 07 at 61 (all I can get out of it) for the late season cold weather (when I have to put on the heavy jacket) to ensure a smooth, comfortable draw and hold but go for a bow with "more punch" for most of the "early season" (Sept, Oct and even Nov here in SE PA are not too cold).
Any insight from past experience would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!
