Was wondering if any of you gentlemen have any experience with Leupold's new VX-R scopes? I hunt alot at night for predators and have a couple illuminated dot scopes. Was looking for some input on the VX-R's. I heard the dots were really small on them. Not sure how well the motion activated dots work either.

The dot is small but bright. I looked at one at Cabela's.

The real drawback to the VX-R is that it's got VXII optics. It is a noticeable difference for my eye, which is used to the Zeiss Conquest.

If you are patient and have a bit more reach in your checking account, you might want to wait for the VX6 with illuminated reticle. That will be out, according to Leupold, in 2013.
